5th & 6th Grade - Embossed Bug Relief Sculptures

5th and 6th grade finished up on their Japanese inspired foil embossed bug relief sculptures! Through embossing aluminum foil bug relief sculptures, students developed skills to transfer historical concepts into an art form, and discover basic relief sculpture techniques. Relief sculpture—sculpture that projects in from a flat background Additionally, students learned to identify the anatomy of a bug. In order for students to be able to draw complex bugs, the students have to understand how bugs are structured. Students also learn new techniques of coloring with Sharpies. Check these out!
